ONISM STUDIO
Onism
“The Awareness of How Little of the World You’ll Experience”
Onism Studio is a multi award-winning immersive storytelling studio operating at the intersection of art, technology, and experience design.
Led by artist Tatiana Collet-Apraxine, Onism creates deeply impactful immersive experiences that explore what happens when feelings and emotions are suppressed or left unexpressed - within our bodies and hearts, and across our shared, collective societies.
Onism’s work treats immersive media as a space for presence, healing, and connection. Drawing from cinema, theatre, games, and digital art, the studio uses real-time technologies to craft awe-inspiring, visually arresting, and playful worlds.
Together with Alina, Mystis’s brilliant producer - we pitched the project at the Annecy International Animation Festival as part of the MIFA pitches Immersive, and we won the Studio Alhambra prize. In addition to the recognition, the prize comes with post-production funding, which will go directly towards finishing the film!
Mystis was selected for the Biennale College Cinema - Immersive, the Venice Biennale's development lab for immersive work, led by Michel Reilhac. Twelve projects from around the world were chosen for the first workshop on San Servolo - and Mystis was one of three projects carried through to the second workshop which took place in february 2026 . I worked through this with Ruth Mariner, Mystis's narrative designer. You can read more about it here.
Hi, I’m Tatiana Collet Apraxine
A little about me: I am a French immersive artist based between London in Paris. I worked and trained as a theatre practitioner (and clown!) before transitioning to the XR/VR world and a part of my heart will always be on the stage…
I am deeply fascinated about the potential of XR to alter our sense of presence, consciousness, and to enhance the impact of the age-old art of telling stories. I am also driven by the question of what happens to us when we don't feel and express the fullness of our emotions - on the personal scale in our hearts and our bodies - and on the transpersonal, collective scale, in our interconnected societies.
